STILLWATER, Okla. - Oklahoma State men's tennis standouts Jakob Sude and Arjun Kadhe were officially named to the 2014 ITA Division 1 Men's All-America Team, the Intercollegiate Tennis Association announced on Thursday.
The Cowboy doubles tandem set a program first by reaching the semifinals of this year's NCAA Doubles Championships, helping them become the third doubles duo in school history to achieve All-American status. Pavel Kudrnac/Martin Dvoracek (1998) were the last Cowboys to achieve the feat, while Mark Johnson/Kirk Loomis were the first in 1981.
Kadhe and Sude compiled a 15-3 record in dual match play and a 4-1 mark in conference action, helping the two become OSU's first Big No. 1 Doubles Champions since 2010. Over the course of the season, they racked up 10 wins over ranked opponents, highlighted by the duo's Round of 16 win over #9 Ben Wagland/Hernus Pieters of Georgia.
In order to earn All-America status in doubles, a team must be a top eight seed in the NCAA Doubles Championships, reach the quarterfinals of the competition or finish in the top 10 of the final ITA National Doubles Rankings.
