Cowboys, Cowgirls Remain In ITA Top 25

Oklahoma State's men's and women's tennis teams both maintained top-25 spots in Tuesday's ITA National Team Rankings, checking in at No. 24 and No. 23, respectively.
Last week, the Cowgirls (12-5, 6-0 Big 12) closed out their home schedule with routs over Iowa State and West Virginia, helping the team to its first 6-0 conference start since the 1990-91 season. On the men's side, the Cowboys (20-3, 1-1 Big 12) used a 4-2 win over SMU to reach the 20-win mark for the first time since 2005.
The two squads held down their top-25 rankings for the third consecutive week, placing in them in a pool of only 14 schools to have both men's and women's tennis teams ranked in the top 25.
With wins over multiple ranked conference opponents last weekend, the Cowboys' Arjun Kadhe and Jakob Sude debuted in the ITA's National Doubles Rankings at No. 21. In the team's win over TCU, the Cowboy tandem took down 12th-ranked Chappell/Stein, and also overpowered No. 10 Hess-Olesen/Glasspool in OSU's narrow loss to Texas.
The Cowgirls also saw one of their doubles squads increase its spot in the polls, as Kanyapat Narattana and Viktoriya Lushkova jumped to No. 49 after previously holding the No. 65 spot two weeks ago. Narattana and Lushkova were victorious at No. 1 doubles in wins over Kansas, Kansas State and West Virginia.
In singles, Sude (No. 86) and Lushkova (No. 78) both held down top-100 rankings despite facing challenging conference foes. Both teams return to action this weekend, as the Cowboys host No. 37 Texas Tech and sixth-ranked Baylor, while the Cowgirls travel to No. 17 Baylor and No. 22 Texas.
