Cowgirls Finish 12th At Northrop Grumman

PALOS VERDES, Calif. - Oklahoma State's women's golf team wrapped up its first event of the spring season on Tuesday with a 12th-place finish at the Northrop Grumman Regional Challenge at Palos Verdes Golf Club.
The Cowgirls posted a 14-over 298 during its final round to finish at 53-over 905 and five shots behind Texas at the par-71, 6,017-yard layout. Southern California outdistanced the field by seven shots, finishing at 14-over 866.
USC's Annie Park captured medalist honors after finishing with a 73 to get in with a 207 total.
OSU sophomore Julie Yang carded her second consecutive 73 to finish at 223 and tied for 28th place.
Freshman Isabella Deilert signed for her low round of the event, a 75, to come in at 227 and tied for 44th place.
Seniors Amy Ruengmateekhun and Jayde Panos each finished with 76s to tie for 56th place at 229. Joining the senior duo at 16-over par was classmate Lauren Falley, who closed with a 74 to get to her total.
The Cowgirls will resume their spring slate on Feb. 23 at the Sugar Bowl Invitational in New Orleans.
