A Quick 9 With ... Maddie McCrary
December 03, 2014 | Cowgirl Golf
Wylie, Texas native Maddie McCrary arrived in Stillwater this fall and made an immediate impact for the Cowgirl lineup.
During the final round of her first collegiate event, she posted a double eagle, holing a 3-wood from 227 yards out on a par 5, to cap her debut with a 27th-place showing at the Dick McGuire Invitational.
In her next start at the ANNIKA Intercollegiate, McCrary proved to be a strong closer once again, firing a 68 to tie for fifth place and help OSU to a third-place finish in the team race. Her next start produced another top 10 at the Windy City Collegiate where she tied for eighth and guided OSU to a fifth-place showing.
The talented freshman is part of a promising nucleus of players who have the Cowgirls on the upswing and pointed toward a bright future.
