Cowgirls Climb Into First At Landfall

WILMINGTON, N.C. - Oklahoma State's women's golf team fired the low round of the day during the second round of play at The Landfall Tradition on Saturday to move into first place at the Country Club of Landfall.
The Cowgirls used a 3-under 285 to make their way into a tie for first place with Wake Forest with matching 1-under 575 totals at the par-72, 6,159-yard layout.
UCF's Ashley Holder posted a 2-under 70 to take the individual lead, coming in at 7-under 137 and one stroke ahead of the field.
A pair of Cowgirls moved into the top 10 with sophomores Isabella Deilert and Linnea Johansson finishing the day tied for ninth place at 143. Deilert followed an opening 71 with a 72 to get to her total, while Johansson carded a 68 during her second round.
Johansson put together a bogey-free round that featured a birdie at the eighth to turn at 1-under 35 and the 12th, 14th and 18th for a 3-under 33 inward nine.
Freshman Maddie McCrary posted a 75 to get in with a 145 total and tied for 18th place.
Freshman Kenzie Neisen carded a 73 to finish the day tied for 36th place at 147.
Freshman Alexis Sadeghy rebounded from an opening 81 with a 72 to stand at 153 and tied for 73rd place.
The Cowgirls will begin their final round tomorrow at 8:45 a.m. (EST) and will be grouped with Wake Forest and Purdue. Live scoring is available at golfstat.com.
