Kadhe and Ferrigno to Play in Singles Round of 16

NORMAN, Okla. - Oklahoma State's Arjun Kadhe and Nicolai Ferrigno each advanced to the round of 16 in singles of the USTA/ITA Central Region Tennis Championships in Norman, Okla.
Kadhe, ranked No. 82 and seeded 9th in the tournament, won his first match over Wichita State's Miroslav Herzan in straight sets, 6-4, 6-4 before defeating Ruben Weber of Minnesota in three sets, 3-6, 7-5, 6-4, to finish his first day of singles play. He is scheduled to face No. 37 Alen Salibasic of Drake in the round of 16.
Ferrigno started the day with an upset over No. 75 Alejandro Espejo of Tulsa, 4-6, 6-3, 7-5, in the first round. He went on to defeat ORU's Amar Saletovic handily, 6-4, 6-1. The Cowboy will take on Matt Hagan from Iowa in the next round.
Kadhe and Ferrigno will continue play on Sunday morning at 9 a.m.
Jakob Sude and Lucas Gerch each made trips to the second round of the event, where they were knocked out of the tournament.
Sophomore Nathan Roper suffered a first-round loss to Carlos Bautista of Tulsa, 6-2, 6-2.
