LOS ANGELES, Calif. -
Oklahoma State's No. 72 men's tennis team defeated Loyola Marymount 6-1 on Tuesday at the LMU Tennis Center. The victory, which ended the team's three-match losing streak, marked the Cowboys' third road win on the season.
The Cowboys got on the board early by continuing their remarkable doubles streak with the team's 21st and 22nd consecutive doubles victories. Rifat Biktyakov and Matt Campbell won their sixth doubles match in a row, and Chris Haworth teamed up with Brady Bohrnstedt to give OSU the match's first point.
OSU (7-5) dominated singles play as well, with victories coming at Nos. 1, 2, 3, 5 and 6 in straight sets. Bohrnstedt recorded his team-leading eighth victory, while Biktyakov, Haworth, Campbell and Pume each improved their singles records as well.
The Cowboys will look to tack on multiple wins when they begin play in the Hilton San Diego Mission Valley Spring Classic, beginning on Thursday.
