Cowgirl Golf Adds Swedish Transfer

STILLWATER, Okla. - Oklahoma State's women's golf team has added sophomore transfer Linnea Johansson it was announced today by Cowgirl head coach Courtney Jones.
A native of Vaxjo, Sweden, Johansson signed a financial aid agreement and will join the Cowgirls for the 2014 spring campaign.
"Linnea has valuable experience from competing across the world playing college golf as well as representing the Swedish national team," Jones said. "Her results from the past year are very impressive and we believe she will have an immediate impact on our program. She is a high achiever both athletically and academically. We can't wait to have her here as a Cowgirl this spring."
As a freshman at Nova Southeastern University last season, Johansson finished the year as the second-ranked player at the Division II level. She earned first-team NGCA Division II All-America honors and was named the Sunshine State Conference Player of the Year as well.
Johansson opened the 2013 spring season with back-to-back victories, winning the Lady Moc Invitational before claiming medalist honors at the Peggy Kirk Bell Invitational. She capped her freshman campaign with a runner-up finish at the Division II National Championship while helping NSU to a second-place showing in the team race.
Internationally, she represented Sweden at the 2013 European Amateur Team Ladies Championship and competed at the 2013 Ladies British Open Amateur Championship.
