Julie Yang Named Big 12 Golfer of the Month

IRVING, Texas - Oklahoma State's Julie Yanghas been named the Big 12 Golfer of the Month for September it was announced today by the league office.
In both of the Cowgirls' starts this fall, Yang has tied for second place, finishing second at the Dale McNamara Fall Preview in Tulsa and the Windy City Collegiate Championship in Chicago.
At the season opener in Tulsa, Yang posted a career-best 67 during the first and third rounds en route to a 4-under 206 total. Earlier this week in Chicago, she posted consecutive 69s before closing with a 72 to finish at 3-under 210.
Behind the sophomore's play, OSU finished third at the Fall Preview and second at the Windy City Collegiate.
With her two runner-up showings, Yang has now finished in the top 10 in five of her last six starts. That stretch includes her first career victory last year at the SMU DAC Invitational.
