HIGHLAND PARK, Ill. - Oklahoma State's women's golf team finished play at the Windy City Collegiate Championship on Tuesday with an 8-over 292 to finish in second place at Northmoor Country Club.
The Cowgirls finished the event at 855, 3-over, and two strokes behind Southern California at the par-71, 6,108-yard layout. Arizona and Stanford shared third place at 857.
Arizona's Lindsey Weaver climbed from a tie for third into first place after posting a 69 to finish at 208. Her 5-under total put her two shots clear of OSU's Julie Yang and USC's Kyung Kim.
After opening with consecutive 69s, Yang finished with a 1-over 72 to finish at 3-under 210. The runner-up showing was the second in as many starts this season for the Cowgirl sophomore. Yang also tied for second in the squad's season opener at the Dale McNamara Fall Preview last month.
Senior Lauren Falley posted her first career top 10, tying for seventh place at 215 after closing with a 76.
Casie Cathrea gave OSU three top-10 finishers, posting the first of her career as well. The freshman tied for ninth place at 216 after closing with a 74.
Senior Amy Ruengmateekhun posted a 75 to tie for 22nd place at 219, while classmate Jayde Panos used her low round of the tournament, a 71, to finish tied for 29th at 221.
The Cowgirls will be back in action on Oct. 5 when they travel to Norman, Okla., to take part in The Schooner Fall Classic at Belmar.
