Cowgirl Golf To Play At East Regional

INDIANAPOLIS - Oklahoma State's women's golf team was one of 24 squads selected to compete at the NCAA East Regional it was announced today by the NCAA Division I Women's Golf Committee.
The selection makes it 20-straight regional appearances for the Cowgirls and snaps a string of three consecutive years in which OSU has participated at the Central Regional.
Head coach Alan Bratton's squad will be joined by fellow Big 12 schools Texas and Texas A&M in the field at Penn State Golf Course in State College, Pa.
OSU's berth marks just the second time it has participated in the East Regional since the Cowgirls first appeared in regional play in 1993. OSU tied for eighth at the 2004 East Regional.
The regional is one of three sites to determine the NCAA Championship field and will be conducted May 10-12. The top eight teams and top two individuals not on those teams will advance to compete at the 2012 NCAA Women's Golf Championship from May 22-25 at the Vanderbilt Legends Club in Franklin, Tenn.
