Cowgirl Golf Names Assistant Coach

STILLWATER, Okla. - Oklahoma State's women's golf team has named Courtney Jones as the program's assistant coach it was announced today by Cowgirl head coach Alan Bratton.
"Courtney's golf knowledge, work ethic and personality make her a perfect fit for Oklahoma State," Bratton said. "She comes highly recommended by several prominent coaches as well as industry leaders. I am thrilled to add her to our team and can't wait to see what we can accomplish."
Jones comes to Stillwater after working as the senior tournament director for the American Junior Golf Association since 2007. While working at the AJGA, she helped plan and run 39 national junior golf championships and served as tournament director for 21 of those events.
"I am so excited to join the coaching staff at Oklahoma State and have the opportunity to be actively involved in developing players," Jones said. "This is an exciting new chapter for Cowgirl Golf and I am honored to work with Coach Bratton to bring a new perspective and energy to the future of women's golf at Oklahoma State."

Jones also worked as a regional assistant for the AJGA since 2009. In that capacity, she was responsible for marketing and sponsor development in the South Central region, which spans nine states and includes Mexico.
A graduate of the University of Tulsa, Jones spent the 2006 fall season as an assistant coach at her alma mater.
Jones graduated Cum Laude from Tulsa with degrees in international business and Spanish and a minor in economics. Additionally, she was named an All-American Scholar Athlete by the National Golf Coaches Association in 2003 and 2004.
