Cowboys Tennis Heads to Norman for Bedlam

STILLWATER – The Oklahoma State men's tennis team heads south to Norman Wednesday for a Bedlam matchup with No. 26 Oklahoma at 5 p.m. at the Headington Family Tennis Center.
The Cowboys (3-9, 0-3 Big 12) enter the match coming off of a loss to No. 21 Texas Tech, 5-2. OSU features the No. 72 singles player Maniel Bains, as well as the 18th-ranked doubles pairing of Aleksey Bessonov and Rifat Biktyakov and the No. 74 duo of Bains and Eric West.
Oklahoma (11-4, 1-1 Big 12) has won three of their past four matches, including a close 4-3 victory against Tulsa on March 29.The Sooners counter with 30th-ranked Ionut Beleleu and No. 79 Costin Paval in singles play. OU also boasts the No. 42 doubles pairing of Paval and Peerakit Siributwong.
The Bedlam rivals met one previous time this season in a non-conference match that saw the Sooners top the Cowboys in a 4-3 heartbreaker on Feb. 25 in Tulsa. OSU leads the series 42-24 all-time, but has lost the last three against OU.
