Cowgirl Golf To Compete At Central Regional

INDIANAPOLIS - Oklahoma State's women's golf team was one of seven Big 12 squads selected to compete in an NCAA Women's Golf Regional it was announced today by the NCAA Division I Women's Golf Committee.
For the third-straight year, the Cowgirls will compete at the Central Regional. Head coach Annie Young's squad will be the No. 16 seed at Notre Dame's Warren Golf Course in South Bend, Ind.
The regional is one of three sites to determine the NCAA Championship field and will be conducted May 5-7. The top eight teams and top two individuals not on those teams will advance to compete at the 2010 NCAA Women's Golf Championship from May 18-21 at the Traditions Club in Bryan, Texas.
OSU's selection marks the sixth time it has competed in the Central Regional with the last appearance coming a year ago in Columbus, Ind. The berth also makes it 19-straight regional appearances for the Cowgirls, who also played in the Central Regional in 2001, 2002 and 2006, 2009 and 2010.
