Cowgirls In 12th At ASU Invite

TEMPE, Ariz. - Oklahoma State's women's golf team posted a 305 team score on Saturday during its second round at the Ping/ASU Invitational to wrap up the day alone in 12th place at Karsten Golf Course.
The Cowgirls' 17-over total put them at 28-over 604 through 36 holes and one shot behind San Diego State for 11th place at the par-72, 6,230-yard layout. Southern California posted a 4-under 284 to move into a tie with UCLA for first place at 11-under 565.
UCLA's Stephanie Kono posted a 69, while Texas' Madison Pressel carded a 70 and the duo moved to the top of the individual leaderboard at 5-under 139.
OSU junior Jocelyn Alford carded the squad's low round of the day with her second-straight 75 to move into a tie for 39th place at 150.
Sophomore Hillary Wood was also among the group at 150 after posting a 77 during her second round.
Freshman Jayde Panos carded a 76 for the second round in a row to finish at 152 and tied for 56th place.
Freshman Josephine Janson came in at 155 after posting a 77 during her second round, while freshman Lauren Falley turned in an 81 to finish at 156 and tied for 73rd place.
The Cowgirls will close out the event tomorrow at 8:50 a.m. (PST) when they begin their final round. OSU will play with San Diego State and Oregon State.
