OSU Track Finishes Pair of Outdoor Meets

The Oklahoma State track and field program wrapped up a busy week Saturday as the Cowboys and Cowgirls competed at the John Jacobs Invitational in Norman, Okla., and the Mt. SAC Relays in Walnut, Calif.
Seven OSU athletes competed in California, highlighted by Raul Botezan's 15th-place finish in the men's 1,500 meters with his time of 3:44.57.
In addition to Botezan's notable finish, Natalja Piliusina finished seventh in the women's 1,500 meters with a time of 4:20.63, ranking fourth all-time at OSU, and Felicity Milton finished 18th in the women's 10k with her time of 35:06.60.
About 20 Oklahoma State athletes competed at the John Jacobs Invitational, hosted by the University of Oklahoma, as OSU recorded 16 total top-10 finishes.
Five of those marks ranked among the top-five at the meet, including Clarissa Andrews' third-place long jump (5.84m), Andrews' third-place triple jump (12.02m), Tyler Payton's fourth-place 800 meters time (1:52.06), Neal Smith's first-place finish in the 1,500 meters (3:58.45) and Taylor Buck's first-place finish in the high jump (2.02m).
The Cowboy and Cowgirl track and field programs are scheduled to resume competition April 23 for the John McDonnell Invitational in Fayetteville, Ark.
