Stillwater, Okla. — Fans interested in attending the Oklahoma State New Year's Eve matchup with the Virginia Tech Hokies will be granted free admission, announced today by head coach Travis Ford and the OSU Athletic Ticket Office.
"This is a chance for us to provide our fans with a gift over the holidays," Ford said. "Our previous game against Virginia Tech was one of the more exciting games this season. We expect the New Year's Eve battle to be no different."
The Virginia Tech contest is scheduled for Dec. 31 at 11 a.m. Customers who have already purchased single-game tickets to the game should call the OSU Ticket Office at 877-ALL-4-OSU to be credited for the purchase price of the ticket, which can be used toward any remaining game on the OSU schedule this season. Season ticket locations will still be honored at the Virginia Tech game.
Oklahoma State fell to Virginia Tech in a closely contested matchup in the consolation finals of the NIT Season Tip-Off earlier this season in New York. The New Year's Eve game was scheduled as part of a home-and-home series with the Hokies before it was determined that OSU and VT would play the day after Thanksgiving.
