About Oklahoma State
Oklahoma State began the season with a victory as the Cowboys defeated Houston Baptist 86-73 Saturday afternoon inside Gallagher-Iba Arena. OSU was led by senior center Marshall Moses who scored a team-high 17 points and grabbed seven rebounds. Junior guard Keiton Page added 13 points while dishing out a career-high seven assists, and sophomore Jéan-Paul Olukemi scored 16 points off the bench for the Pokes.
With the win over HBU, OSU has now won 25-consecutive non-conference home games, dating back to a 104-48 win over Prairie View A&M on Nov. 9, 2007. It ranks as the fourth-longest streak of its kind in school history. Three more home victories against non-league foes will tie for the third-longest string in Cowboy Basketball history. It was also OSU's 700th all-time victory inside historic Gallagher-Iba Arena.
Oklahoma State is just two victories away from becoming the 34th team in NCAA history to reach 1,500 victories. OSU is 1,498-1,041 all-time on the hardwood, good for a 59.2 winning percentage.
