Purpose & goals
1. To expose young golfers to the techniques of competitive golf as taught on the collegiate levels.
2. To afford our campers the opportunity to practice and play at one of the top collegiate facilities in the nation.
3. To equip each individual player with sound fundamentals and personal knowledge while working on all facets of the game.
Dates
Traditional Camp: June 3-6, 2009
Tuition
Camp tuition covers all instruction, room, meals, green fees and practice ball expenses. Four-day Traditional Camp: $700 per camper.
Who is Eligible
Traditional Camp: Any young woman between the ages of 10 and 18. Under current NCAA rules, senior graduates may attend camp.
Registration: Please fill out and return the attached application form. An advance registration deposit of $300 must accompany each application. The balance of the tuition is due at the time of registration. There will be no refunds for any reason after a young woman has been accepted. Send the completed application and deposit to : Annie Young, Karsten Creek, 1800 S. Memorial Drive, Stillwater, OK 74074. Checks should be made payable to the OSU COWGIRL GOLF CAMP.
Arrival and Departure: Check in will be from 12 p.m. to 2p.m. on June 3 in the lobby of the dormitory to which you are assigned. Upon acceptance of application, you will receive a confirmation letter with specific details and directions for check-in. Campers will be free after 12 p.m. on June 6 and should be picked up either at the dormitory by 1 p.m. or at the golf course by 12 p.m.
Health and Safety: Full-time coaches and counselors will be available to help ensure the safety of each student during the camp sessions and in the dorm. These counselors will be OSU women's golf team members or other women's collegiate golf coaches. A full-time athletic trainer is also on staff.
Clothing and Equipment: You will be required to bring the following: golf equipment and attire, laundry bag, toiletries, suntan lotion, golf hat, spending money ($20-$25), twin sheets, pillow and blanket.
Housing and Food: You will be housed in an airconditioned dormitory on the Oklahoma State University campus. Students will be assigned two-to-a-room and will eat their meals at the University Dining Hall and the Oklahoma State golf team clubhouse. Meals will be all you can eat.
Transportation: A shuttle service between Stillwater and the Oklahoma City airport will be available. Reservations must be made via your enrollment form or by calling 405-743-3410 (Laura Matthews). Reservations must be made at least one week prior to arrival and please try to be at the airport before noon on the first day. Cost of the shuttle will be $55 round trip.
Last Day of Camp is Play Day: A nine-hole play day will be held on June 6, beginning at 8 a.m. All parents are invited to come out early and watch your daughter then have lunch.
