Cowgirls Move To 11th At Landfall Tradition

WILMINGTON, N.C. - Oklahoma State's women's golf team posted a 301 during its second round at the Landfall Tradition to move into a tie for 11th place at the Country Club of Landfall.
The Cowgirls began the day tied for 14th place before carding their 13-over score to move into a four-way deadlock for 11th. OSU stands at 606 and is knotted with Pepperdine, Michigan State and Georgia.
During a day that featured a 40-minute rain delay, UCLA posted a 2-over 290 to take control of the team race. The Bruins have a 583 total and hold an eight-shot lead over Wake Forest.
Day Two also produced a new individual leader as Wake Forest's Cheyenne Woods moved to the top of the leaderboard with a 69. The niece of PGA Tour star Tiger Woods, she has a 139 total and will take a one-shot advantage into tomorrow's final round.
OSU's Caroline Hedwall moved up 14 spots in the standings with a 72 on Saturday. The sophomore is tied for 11th at 146.
A pair of freshmen wrapped up the day tied for 40th at 151. Victoria Park carded a 75 on Saturday, while Jane Rah posted a 77.
Freshman Courtney McKim also signed for a 77 and is tied for 68th at 158.
Freshman Hillary Wood bounced back from an opening 92 with a 77 and is tied for 85th with a 169 total.
The Cowgirls will close out play at 8:30 a.m. (EST) on Sunday and will be grouped with Pepperdine and Alabama.
