Cowgirl Basketball Routs Texas-Pan American, 85-36

STILLWATER, Okla.ÂBehind a school-record 14 3-pointers, Oklahoma State's women's basketball team reeled off its seventh consecutive victory on Saturday, defeating Texas-Pan American, 85-36, in front of 3,250 fans inside Gallagher-Iba Arena.
The Cowgirls (10-2) had six different players hit from beyond the arc to surpass their previous single-game best of 13 made 3-pointers set on Dec. 29, 2005 against Prairie View A&M.
Already leading 44-22 at the half, OSU outscored the Lady Broncs (8-8) 41-14 over the final 20 minutes to extend its non-conference home winning streak to 31 games. In the half, UTPA hit just five of its 24 shots and finished the game with 25 turnovers.
OSU spread the wealth offensively en route to a 46 percent shooting effort, finishing with five players in double figures in the scoring column. The Cowgirls also dished out 22 assists against just nine turnovers on the night.
All five of junior Tegan Cunningham's field goals came from deep on her way to a game-high 17 points.
Senior Shaunte' Smith added 12 points and a game-high nine rebounds, while junior Andrea Riley also scored 12 points to go with five assists and five steals. With her assist total, Riley moved past Stacy Coffey for fourth place on the school's all-time chart and now has 382 for her career.
Senior Taylor Hardeman connected on three 3-pointers and recorded new season highs with six rebounds and six assists in the victory.
Junior Megan Byford was the fifth Cowgirl to reach double figures, scoring 10 points in 16 minutes of work off the bench.
Epiphany Smith led UTPA with 15 points.
The Cowgirls will be back in action on Tuesday night at 5:30 p.m. when they host Centenary in Stillwater. Tip was originally scheduled for 6 p.m., but was moved up 30 minutes due to the game being the front end of a doubleheader with the men's team.
