Cowgirl Basketball Reaches Century Mark In Win Over Centenary

STILLWATER, Okla.ÂOklahoma State's women's basketball team closed out its non-conference schedule in impressive fashion on Tuesday with a 100-57 win over Centenary in front of 2,713 fans inside Gallagher-Iba Arena.
With the victory, the 21st-ranked Cowgirls have now won eight consecutive games and improved to 11-2, while the Ladies fell to 2-12 on the year. The win also wrapped up the third consecutive undefeated non-conference home season for OSU, which improved to 9-0 in Stillwater and has won 32 consecutive non-league games at home.
The Cowgirls forced 31 turnovers in the contest and used a 55-point outburst in the second half to log their first 100-point outing since scoring 107 on Dec. 22, 2007 against Central Arkansas.
Leading the way for the Cowgirls was junior Andrea Riley, who tallied her second 30-point outing of the year, finishing with a game-high 31 points. The Dallas, Texas native also grabbed six rebounds, dished out at game-high six assists and had four steals.
Junior Tegan Cunningham scored 18 points, while fellow junior Megan Byford added a career-high 16 points.
Senior Shaunte' Smith pulled a game-high 10 rebounds for the Cowgirls.
Cierra Bush scored 11 points and had eight rebounds for Centenary.
The Cowgirls will begin conference action on Saturday when they travel to Ames, Iowa to face Iowa State. The contest is slated for a 3 p.m. start and will be televised by Fox Sports Net.
