Caroline Hedwall Named Golfweek Player of the Week

STILLWATER, Okla. Â Oklahoma State freshman Caroline Hedwall was named the Golfweek national women's player of the week on Monday following her victory at the Duramed Fall Preview last week.
Making her first start as a Cowgirl, Hedwall opened with a 73 at Caves Valley Golf Club in Owings Mills, Md. before playing her final 36 holes 5-under par with rounds of 70 and 69. With her 4-under 212 total, the Lodderopinge, Sweden native finished two shots ahead of the field.
Hedwall and the Cowgirls will be back in action Sept. 26 when they travel to Franklin, Tenn., to take part in the Mason Rudolph Women's Championship.
