Cowgirls Remain In Third Place At Las Vegas Collegiate

LAS VEGAS Â Oklahoma State's women's golf team carded a 3-under 285 total during its second round at the Las Vegas Collegiate to remain tied for third place with one round remaining.
Competing at Boulder Creek Golf Club, the Cowgirls stand at 9-under 567 and are tied with Washington. Louisville is currently in sole possession of second place at 562, while Pepperdine pulled away from the field after firing an 18-under 270 on Tuesday for a 26-under 550 total.
Pepperdine's Lisa McCloskey leads the individual standings with a 12-under total of 132 after firing a 65 on Tuesday.
OSU's Caroline Hedwall climbed six spots into a tie for 11th place after carding a 69. Hedwall will begin her final round with a 4-under 140 total. The freshman recorded five birdies on the day and was bogey-free heading into her final hole before closing with a double bogey to finish 3-under par for the day.
After opening with a 67 during her first round, senior Pernilla Lindberg carded a 74 during Round Two and is tied for 14th place at 141.
Freshman Caroline Masson got in under par during her second round with a 71 and is tied for 18th place at 143.
Senior Karin Kinnerud is tied for 39th at 146 heading into her final round after signing for a 74, while fellow senior Amanda Johnson moved up 23 spots into a tie for 53rd after a 71 gave her a 148 total.
The Cowgirls will close out play tomorrow morning at 8:00 a.m. (PST) and will be paired with Pepperdine and Louisville.
