Diary From Down Under No. 6
October 10, 2008 | Cowgirl Golf
Over the next several days, OSU senior golfer Pernilla Lindberg will be sharing her account of the 2008 World Amateur Team Championship in Australia. Lindberg is one of two Cowgirls representing the Swedish team and one of five OSU players overall in the event. Below is her sixth entry.
Hello everybody!
It is now late Friday night here in Adelaide and I will give you a short update from today.
We played the third round today, which in golf usually is called the moving day. We did not play as well as we wanted, but we still increased our lead. So we made a move in the right direction!
All three of us were really disappointed walking of the 18th green because we felt that we did not get the momentum going today.
After the round our coach asked us, “If someone had told you before the tournament that you would lead by 11 shots going in to the last day, would you have taken it?”
We all felt that the answer to this question is obvious...yes. We are in the position we want! Now we are looking forward to tomorrow, we are really excited and we are going to go out there and follow our plan once again!
Pernilla
