Cowgirl Golfers Move Into Fifth Place At Mason Rudolph Championship

OSU, which began play in 11th place, tied Duke for the day's second-best total with their second consecutive 292 in cold and windy conditions, giving the Cowgirls an 8-over 584 total and a tie with Florida for the fifth spot.
UCLA carded the day's best round with a 283 to move to 12-under at 564. The Bruins hold a nine-shot lead over Arizona and a 12-stroke advantage over the Blue Devils. Arizona stands in fourth place at 583 and one shot ahead of the Cowgirls and Gators
OSU junior Pernilla Lindberg moved into the top five individually after posting a 2-under 70 for the second day in a row. Starting on the back nine, the Bollnäs, Sweden native went out in 33 with birdies on Nos. 10, 11 and 18. After falling back to even par, Lindberg birdied two of her final three holes to get back into red figures.
Lindberg's 4-under 140 total puts her in a three-way tie for fourth place and six shots behind Duke's Amanda Blumenherst for the top spot in the individual race.
Sophomore Sarah Bradley moved into a tie for 32nd place at 148 after posting a 75 on Saturday, while senior Tammy Clelland bounced back from a first-round 77 with a 1-over 73 to move up 25 spots into a tie for 42nd place at 150.
Juniors Amanda Johnson and Karin Kinnerud also finished in the group tied for 42nd after carding rounds of 74 and 77, respectively.
The Cowgirls will begin their final round at the par-72, 6,217-yard layout tomorrow at 8:15 a.m. and will be paired with Arizona and Florida.
