Junior Season (2005-06)
Candy was a unanimous selection to the All-Big 12 first team by the league coaches.
She followed that up with a fifth-place finish at the Big 12 Championships, garnering all-tournament accolades.
It was Candys second-consecutive top-10 finish and the third of her junior season.
She finished sixth at the Lady Puerto Rico Classic.
Candy tied her career-low round with a 70 during the second round of the Regional Challenge in Palos Verdes, Calif.
She recorded her third-collegiate sub-par round with a 71 during the final round at the NCAA Central Regional in College Station, Texas.
Candy led the team with two eagles on the season.
Sophomore Season (2004-05)
Candy played in every tournament except the Bryan National Collegiate during her sophomore year.
Her best finish was a sixth-place outing at the Big 12 Championships as she carded a three-round total of 227.
Candy recorded a 225 at the NCAA Fall Preview for her lowest output of the season.
She finished with a 77.71 strokes-per-round average, the fourth-best average on the team.
Her lowest single round was a 73, which she scored twice. She shot a 73 during the first round of the Dick McGuire Invitational, and matched that during the second round of The Landfall Tradition.
Freshman Season (2003-04)
Candy played in just one tournament during the fall semester of her freshman year, but became a consistent starter in the lineup during the spring semester.
She ended the second semester with the third-best stroke average on the team at 75.94 strokes per round.
That included a 16th-place finish at the Lady Gator Invitational, her best finish of the season.
Candy finished 28th at the NCAA Championships with a very respectable 294 in the four-round tournament.
Her season stroke average was 76.38 in seven tournaments, with a season-low 70 at the Liz Murphey Collegiate Classic, where she finished 18th.
Redshirt Season (2002-03)
Candy redshirted her freshman season at Oklahoma State.
Amateur
On the amateur circuit, Candy made the third round of the U.S. Womens Amateur Public Links the summer of 2003 in Sunriver, Ore. She defeated Tai Kinney, 5 and 4, and Sunny Oh, 6 and 5, before falling to fellow Cowgirl Annie Thurman, 6 and 4, in the third round.
Candy shot a 70 at the New Mexico AJGA at Pumpkin Ridge, N.M., and finished second at the Arizona AJGA.
High School
Candy was a four-year letterwinner for coach David Bussey at Granite Hills High School in Apple Valley, Calif.
She was the team Most Valuable Golfer her sophomore, junior and senior seasons.
Her best high school round was a 68 at Tustin Ranch.
Candy was also recruited by UCLA, Texas A&M, Florida, Arizona State and Oklahoma.
Personal
Born May 1, 1984, in Okinawa, Japan, Candy is the daughter of Vince and Cindy Herrera. She is majoring in landscape architecture at Oklahoma State. Candy enjoys skiing in her spare time.
