Cowgirl Golfers to Compete in NCAA Fall Preview

The field includes 17 teams ranked among the top 20 of the final 2006 Golfstat women's rankings, ensuring that the 2006 Golf Daytona Beach Women's Fall Preview will feature the strongest field of the golf season. Joining the 16th-ranked Cowgirls are in the tournament are: top-ranked Duke, No. 2 Georgia, fourth-ranked UCLA, No. 6 Arizona State, eighth-ranked Purdue, No. 9 USC, 14th-ranked Wake Forest, No. 17 UNLV, 22nd-ranked Vanderbilt, Arkansas, Auburn, California, Central Florida, Florida, Tennessee and Virginia.
The event allows the country's top teams to see the championship venue for the first time, while providing players the opportunity to tee it up on the same course used during LPGA Qualifying School. Daytona Beach is the home of the LPGA Headquarters.
The tournament includes an 18-hole practice round on Thursday, September 21. The competitive rounds are Friday-Sunday and begin at 8 a.m. EST.
