Cowgirl Golfers lead Susie Maxwell Berning Classic by 29 strokes

Oklahoma State began the day by shooting a five-under 283, tied for the third-best round in school history. The Cowgirls followed that with a four-under 284, which ties for the sixth-best round in school history. This is OSU's first appearance in the Susie Maxwell Classic since 1995.
Individually, Cowgirl freshman Pernilla Lindberg is leading the race, carding an even-par 72 during the first round and a four-under 68 during the second 18 holes. She leads teammate and fellow freshman Karin Kinnerud by one stroke. Kinnerud shot a 71-70—141.
Cowgirl senior Jennifer Karr, who led the tournament after the first round with a 69, recorded a 74 during the second round and is tied for third place at 143. Juniors Candie Herrera and Mallorie Underwood are tied for sixth place at 145.
OSU led Texas by 11 strokes after the first round and increased that lead to 29 following the second round. SMU tied the Longhorns at 596, while Nebraska (597) and Kansas State (603) round out the top-five teams.
The tournament will conclude on Monday with a final round of 18 holes. The round will begin with a shotgun start at 8 a.m.
