September 24, 2005 | Cowgirl Golf
Pernilla Lindberg, one of three freshmen starting for OSU this weekend, once again carded the lowest round for the Cowgirls with a five-over 77. She is currently tied for 22nd place. Junior Candie Herrera shot a 78, while junior Mallorie Underwood and freshman Karin Kinnerud both recorded 79s. Freshman Amanda Johnson finished with an 83.
Vanderbilt's Jacqui Concolino sits atop the individual leaderboard as the only golfer to finish both rounds in the 60s. The Commodores are tied for first place with Georgia at 578, just one stroke ahead of third-place Arizona State. Defending national champion Duke is in fourth, while top-ranked UCLA rounds out the top-five teams.
The tournament will conclude on Sunday with a final round of 18 holes.
