Freshman Lindberg paces Cowgirl Golfers

Lindberg, one of three freshmen starting for OSU this weekend, had four birdies and three bogeys and is tied for 12th place individually after day one. Karin Kinnerud, another freshman from Sweden, shot a five-over 76 and is tied with junior Candie Herrera for 49th place.
Host-school Vanderbilt sits atop the team leaderboard with a nine-under 279. The Commodores are paced by a pair of golfers  Jacqui Concolino and Liebelei Lawrence  who each recorded a four-under 68. Duke and Georgia are tied for second at three under par, while Arizona State (one under) and Wake Forest (even) round out the top-five teams.
Cowgirl junior Mallorie Underwood finished the first round with a five-over 77, and is tied for 56th place. Freshman Amanda Johnson, a Jenks, Okla., native, is tied for 73rd with an seven-over 79.
The tournament will continue on Saturday with another round of 18 holes, and conclude on Sunday with a final round of 18.
