Karin Sjodin earns Academic All-America award

Karin SjÃ¶din, a junior on Oklahoma State's women's golf team this past season, was named a third-team Academic All-American by ESPN The Magazine and the College Sports Information Directors of America, it was announced today.

SjÃ¶din was awarded the Edith Cummings Munson Golf Award and the Dinah Shore Trophy last month as the top collegiate golfer in regards to athletics, academics and community service. The Swedish native has attained a 3.96 grade point average while majoring in general business at Oklahoma State.

In all of her three seasons at OSU, SjÃ¶din has been named a National Golf Coaches Association All-American, including first-team honors this past season. She is a three-time all-Big 12 selection, and was the Big 12 Newcomer of the Year her freshman season.
