Thurman-Young finishes fifth at Bryan National Collegiate
April 04, 2005 | Cowgirl Golf
Duke won the team title as well, with three golfers in the top six and 10 strokes better than second-place Tennessee. Georgia finished in third, 20 strokes back, while Florida and Furman rounded out the top-five teams.
Cowgirl junior Karin Sjödin, who shot her worst round as a collegian during the first day, rebounded well with a 73 and a 77 to finish with a 234, good for 35th place. Sophomore Mallorie Underwood tied for 59th place with a 241, while junior Kyla Welsh and freshman Ali Griffin each carded a 245.
Oklahoma State will return to action on April 22 as the Cowgirls compete in the Big 12 Championships on the University of Texas Golf Club Course in Austin, Texas.
