Cowgirl Golfers finish 11th at Tar Heel Invitational

OSU was in 17th place out of 18 teams following Friday's first round. However, the Cowgirls moved up four spots during Saturday's round and two more on Sunday. Oklahoma State was two strokes out of ninth place.
Duke won the team title with four Blue Devils finishing in the top seven. Texas A&M's Ashley Knoll, a former Cowgirl, won the individual title with an eight-stroke victory over Duke's Anna Grzebien.
Kinnerud finished 35th individually, while fellow freshman Amanda Johnson finished 54th, including a 73 on Saturday and a 77 on Sunday. Senior Jennifer Karr recorded a three-round score of 239, while junior Ali Griffin finished with a 246.
Oklahoma State will return to action on Nov. 4 at the Auburn Tiger/Derby Invitational.
