Cowgirl Golfers finish sixth at Regional Challenge

Second-ranked UCLA won the team title with a commanding 32-stroke victory over second-place New Mexico. Ohio State finished third, six strokes back of the Lobos. Arizona finished fourth at 919, while USC finished fifth at 921. Oklahoma State finished with a team score of 922.
UCLA's Charlotte Mayorkas won individual medalist honors with a three-round score of 207, or six under par. Susie Mathews of UCLA and Tulsa's Julie Tvede tied for second at 217, four strokes ahead of Thurman, Kristen White of Ohio State and New Mexico's Kallin Downs.
Cowgirl sophomore Karin Sjödin made up some ground during Wednesday's final round. She moved up 14 spots from 36th to 22nd with a 74 during the day, and finished with a 229. Freshman Ashley Knoll finished tied for 32nd with a 232, while fellow freshman Mallory Underwood carded a 241, good for 55th place. Junior Jenny Karr rounded out the Cowgirl scores with a 246 and in 63rd place.
