Linda Wessberg Leads Golfers In First Spring Tournament

The No. 2 ranked Cowgirls are in third place after the first round with a 294 team score, 10 strokes behind Pepperdine and two strokes back of UCLA. USC is in fourth at 296, while Oklahoma rounds out the top five with a 300.
OSU freshman Karin Sjödin is in a tie for 11th place after scoring a two-over 73 on the par-71 course. Sophomore Annie Thurman was one stroke back and tied for 14th. Cowgirls Christi Cano and Jenny Karr were tied for 39th place with a six over 77.
The tournament, which features 17 teams that competed in last year's NCAA Championships, will continue on Tuesday with another round of 18, and conclude on Wednesday with a final round of 18 holes.
