Cowgirl Golfers Move Into Second Place At Tar Heel Invitational

Duke sits atop the leaderboard with a two-round total of 577, five strokes ahead of Oklahoma State (582). Host school North Carolina is third at 592, while Florida State and Ohio State are tied for fourth at 593 to round out the top-five teams.
OSU recorded three sub-par rounds with sophomore Lisa Jean leading the surge with a three-under 69. Freshman Karin Sjödin shot a one-under 71. Senior Christi Cano recorded a 73 and fellow senior Linda Wessberg scored a 76 to round out the OSU scores.
Jean shot 14 strokes better than Friday's round when she shot an 83. Sjödin was seven strokes better after carding a 78 on Friday. Thurman's score was six strokes better than her first-round score.
The tournament will conclude on Sunday with a final round of 18 holes.
