STILLWATER, Okla. - Oklahoma State's women's basketball team suffered a 71-57 defeat to Oklahoma on Senior Day before a record crowd of 6,477 fans at Gallagher-Iba Arena on Saturday.
The Cowgirls (7-19 overall and 3-12 Big 12) jumped out to a 21-17 lead before the Sooners (18-10, 9-6) closed out the half with a 15-2 run to take a 32-23 advantage into the intermission. OU got nine points in the stanza from freshman Chelsi Welch, who finished with a game-high 18 points, and held OSU to 23 percent (8-of-34) shooting in the period.

However, a 14-0 run by the Sooners over the next three minutes stretched the lead to 46-27 and put the game away.
