Cowgirl Golf Finishes Third At Bryan National Collegiate

Brown Summit, N.C. - Oklahoma State senior Maria Bod?n shot a three-round total of 219, finishing seventh individually and pacing the Cowgirls to a third-place finish here Sunday afternoon in the Bryan National Collegiate Tournament. It was Bod?n's seventh top-10 finish this year, and the 27th of her career.
OSU finished with a three-day total of 885, 29 strokes behind team-champion Duke (856) and six strokes back of second-place Wake Forest (879). Purdue finished fourth, three strokes behind the Cowgirls, while Tennessee (889) rounded out the top five.
Duke's Candy Hanneman and Vee Nirapathpongporn finished one-two in the individual standings, with Hanneman shooting a seven-under-par 209 for the tournament. OSU's Emma Zackrisson and Linda Wessberg tied for 12th with identical 220 scores, while sophomore Christi Cano tied for 28th with a 226. Sophomore JoAnn Heller shot a 252 for the tournament.
Oklahoma State will take two weeks off before traveling to Rhodes, Iowa, to compete in the Big 12 Championships, hosted by Iowa State University, April 20-22.
