Cowgirls Finish Sixth

SALINAS, Calif. - Oklahoma State's women's golf team shot its best score of the weekend, 292, in the final round to place sixth at the Spartan Invitational.
The Cowgirls finished with a three-day total of 894, 25 strokes behind tournament winner New Mexico State.
Maria Boden carded a two-under-par 70 to move into a tie for sixth place with New Mexico State's Krista Ursula Tuutti. Boden's three-day total of 216 was even par for the tournament and seven shots off the medalist pace of 209, turned in by Kelli Kamimura of Washington.
OSU sophomore Linda Wessberg fired a final round 71 to vault her up the leader board and finish in a three-way tie for 10th with a total of 219. Emma Zackrisson shot a final round one-over-par 73 to finish in a tie for 30th place.
Christi Cano and Julie Jacques rounded out the Cowgirl scoring with three-day totals of 229 and 237, respectively.
The Cowgirls return to action on March 27-29 at the Rainbow Wahine Invitational in Honolulu, Hawaii.
