Cowgirls In Fourth After First Round

Waimanalo, Hawaii - Oklahoma State sophomore Christi Cano shot a one-under 71, good enough for second place, leading the Cowgirls to second place after the first round of the Dr. Donnis Thompson Rainbow Wahine Tournament here Tuesday on the Olomana Golf Links. It was Cano's lowest round of the season.
Oregon State sits atop the team leaderboard with a first-round score of 299. Arizona is second, one stroke back at 300, while TCU is in third at 302. Oklahoma State shot a first-round total of 303, four strokes back of the leader. LSU, Oklahoma and BYU round out the top five with a 304.
Oregon State's Stacie Ferguson shot a two-under 70 during the first round and leads the individual race. Cano and Arizona's Natalie Gulbis are tied for second with a 71. OSU junior Emma Zackrisson shot a three-over 75, and is tied for 12th.
The tournament will continue on Wednesday with another round of 18 holes, and conclude on Thursday with a final round of 18.
