Cowgirl Golfers Tied For 10th After First Round

Stillwater, Okla. - Oklahoma State's Cowgirl golf team is tied for 10th place here Friday afternoon after the first round of the Auburn Derby - Tribute to USA tournament. Freshman Annie Thurman is tied for 16th with a three-over 75 after the first round.
Tennessee sits atop the team leaderboard with a six-over-par 294. Georgia is in second place, three strokes back at 297. Duke and Pepperdine are tied for third, and Arizona rounds out the top five.
Lorena Ochoa leads the individuals with a five-under-par 67, followed by Young-A Yang of Tennessee at 68. Auburn's Kimberly Strong is in third with a 69, followed by Summer Sirmons of Georgia (70) and Tina Schneeberger of Tennessee (72).
The tournament will continue on Saturday with another round of 18 holes, and conclude on Sunday with a final round of 18.
