STILLWATER, Okla. - Four Oklahoma State women's golfers were named Academic All-Big 12 in a release from the conference office today. Maria Boden (junior, Harnosand, Sweden), JoAnn Heller (redshirt freshman, Sapulpa, Okla.), Natasha Rowe (senior, Tishomingo, Okla.) and Emma Zackrisson (sophomore, Holmsund, Sweden), were all named first-team Academic all-Conference.
The ninth-ranked Cowgirls will travel to Lubbock, Texas, this weekend to defend their Big 12 Championship from a year ago, while Boden will defend her individual title. The tournament, which consists of 54 holes spread over Friday, Saturday and Sunday, will be played at the Lubbock Country Club.
OSU's traveling five will be Boden, Rowe, Zackrisson, and freshmen Christi Cano and Linda Wessberg. Boden currently leads the Big 12 in stroke average, while all five golfers rank in the top 20 in the league. Oklahoma State has won 17 conference titles dating back to 1976.
