Cowboy Netters Fall To No. 7 Texas A&M

COLLEGE STATION, Texas -- The 51st-ranked Oklahoma State men's tennis team lost a 5-2 decision to No. 7 Texas A&M Wednesday night at the Varsity Tennis Center.
The loss snapped the Cowboys four-match winning streak and dropped them to 10-6 overall and 3-3 in Big 12 action. The Aggies improved to 18-5 and 5-2.
Both of OSU's singles wins came courtesy of freshman. At the No. 3 position, Eru Lyndon upset nationally-ranked Cody Hubbell in three sets, 3-6, 6-4, 6-3. The win moved the New Zealand native's record to 7-8 on the year.
At the No. 6 slot, Jiri Jezek defeated Juan Aramburo in straight sets 7-6(3), 6-4 for his second consecutive win . With the victory, Jezek rose to 12-4 on the season. The Czech Republic native has been impressive in his first season with the Pokes, winning all but one of his matches in straight sets.
In doubles action, the No. 2 tandem of Chris Bates and Fran Krepelka extended their winning streak to six with an 8-4 win over Ryan Newport and Andrew Speigel. The duo rose to 14-2 with the win.
The Cowboys will return to action on Friday when they host the Colorado Buffaloes at the DuBois Tennis Center.
