Cowboys Cruise Past Nebraska

STILLWATER, Okla. -- The 50th-ranked Oklahoma State men's tennis team zipped to its fifth consecutive victory on Sunday, defeating Nebraska 6-1 at the DuBois Tennis Center.
The Cowboys, 11-4 overall and 4-1 in Big 12 play, jumped on the Huskers early and took control of the match, sweeping all three of the contest's doubles matches.
The nationally-ranked doubles tandem of Matt Prentice and Eru Lyndon paced the Cowboys with their fourth consecutive win at the No. 1 position to improve to 12-3 on the year.
In singles action, the Pokes won five of six matches to close out the scoring. Prentice outlasted Jorge Abos Sanchez in three sets, 6-1, 4-6, 7-6, to rise to 11-4 at the No. 1 position.
Fran Krepelka continued his dominance at the No. 4 slot, winning 6-2, 6-1. With the win, the sophomore moved to 14-1 on the season and has won four of his last five matches in straight sets. OSU also picked up straight-set decisions from Chris Bates, Jeremy Ewert and Jiri Jezek.
The Cowboys will return to action on Wednesday when they travel to College Station to take on Texas A&M.
