Cowgirl Golf In Fourth Place After First Round

HONOLULU, Hawaii -- Oklahoma State's 10th-ranked women's golf team is in fourth place after the first round of the Dr. Donnis Thompson Rainbow Wahine Invitational here Tuesday afternoon, trailing first-place Pepperdine by 12 strokes.
The Waves lead the tournament with a six-over-par 294, while the USC Trojans are one stroke behind at 295. Arizona is in third place with a 302, OSU is fourth at 306, and the Oklahoma Sooners round out the top five with a 316.
Cowgirl freshman Christi Cano leads OSU with a one-over-par 73, good enough for fourth place individually. USC's Mikaela Parmlid sits atop the leaderboard with a two-under 70. OSU junior Maria Bod?n is tied for eighth with a 75, and freshman Linda Wessberg is tied for 15th with a 78.
Sophomore Emma Zackrisson is tied for 29th with an 80, and senior Natasha Rowe rounds out the Cowgirl scores, shooting an 83, good for a tie for 51st.
The tournament will continue on Wednesday with another round of 18 holes, and conclude on Thursday with a final round of 18.
