Cowgirls In Third Place After Two Rounds Of NMSU Invitational

LAS CRUCES, N.M. -- - Oklahoma State's Cowgirl golf team, led by senior Maria Bod?n's second-place standing, is in third place after the second round of the Price's Give 'Em Five Intercollegiate, hosted by New Mexico State University. Bod?n is three strokes behind leader Courtney Wood of TCU.
OSU has two other golfers in the top 15, including sophomore Linda Wessberg, last year's tournament winner, who is tied for sixth with a 146. Junior Emma Zackrisson is tied for 15th with a two-round score of 150. Sophomore Christi Cano is tied for 48th, carding a 157, while McKenzie Gibson rounds out the Cowgirl golfers with a 164, good for 74th place.
TCU sits atop the leaderboard with a team total of 581. New Mexico State is in second with a 586, followed by the Cowgirls with a 597. Baylor and Missouri are tied four fourth with a 600. Other Big 12 schools competing are Oklahoma (sixth with a 607), Nebraska (eighth, 608), Texas Tech (ninth, 610), Kansas State (11th, 623), and Colorado (14th, 628).
The tournament will conclude on Tuesday with a final round of 18 holes.
