Cowgirl Golf Finishes Fourth At Shootout

FRANKLIN, Ind. - Oklahoma State's Maria Boden shot a final-round 76, dropping from first to third during the final round of the Shootout at the Legends here Tuesday afternoon. However, as a team, the Cowgirls moved up a spot from fifth to fourth after the second day.
Ohio State won the team title with a three-round score of 880. Purdue was one stroke back at 881, followed by Michigan State (993), Oklahoma State (888) and Michigan (889). Purdue's Kari Damron won the individual title after shooting a final-round 68 for a one-stroke win with a score of 212.
Boden tied for third with a 215, including two sub-par rounds on Monday of 71 and 68. Junior Emma Zackrisson shot a final-round 70, moving up from 12th to sixth place. Sophomore's Linda Wessberg and Christi Cano finished 28th and 38th, respectively, while JoAnn Heller finished tied for 80th.
The Cowgirls will return to action when they travel to Las Cruces, N.M., to compete in the Roadrunner Invitational, Oct. 30-31.
