Cowgirl Golf Team To Compete In Dick McGuire Invitational

STILLWATER, Okla. - Oklahoma State's 11th-ranked Cowgirl Golf team will travel to Albuquerque, N.M., this week to compete in the 21st annual Dick McGuire Invitational, hosted by the University of New Mexico. Competition begins on Thursday, Sept. 23, with 18 holes each day through Saturday on the UNM Championship Golf Course.
The OSU starting five this week will be Maria Boden, Christi Cano, JoAnn Heller, Linda Wessberg and Emma Zackrisson. Natasha Rowe, a senior from Tishomingo, Okla., will compete as an individual.
Eighteen of the country's top programs will be competing in the event, including second-ranked Arizona, No. 4 USC, sixth-ranked Texas, No. 10 Arizona State, 13th-ranked TCU, No. 21 New Mexico State and 22nd-ranked UCLA.
The Cowgirls are coming off a second-place finish at the Big 12 Preview two weeks ago. Boden won medalist honors with a final-round 69 to win the tournament.
