Cowgirls Sitting In Second Place After Day One

LINCOLN, Neb. - Oklahoma State's Cowgirl golf team is in second place after two rounds of the Big 12 Fall Preview here Monday afternoon at the Country Club of Lincoln. Maria Boden, the Big 12 Golfer of the Year, and freshman Christi Cano lead the Cowgirl attack as both are tied for seventh place individually.
Nebraska sits atop the team standings with a score of 601, 11 strokes ahead of OSU. Oklahoma is in third place with a 618, while Baylor and Missouri are tied for fourth (629).
The Huskers' Sarah Sasse was the only golfer to shoot a sub-par round on the first day, carding a one-under 71 in the first round before adding a 75 in the second for a 146 two-round total. She leads a trio of players by three strokes.
Cowgirl sophomore Emma Zackrisson is tied for 13th place with a 154, while JoAnn Heller, a redshirt freshman, is tied for 19th while playing as an individual. Senior Natasha Rowe is tied for 29th with a 159, as is true freshman Linda Wessberg.
The tournament will conclude with a final round of 18 holes on Tuesday.
